High-Performance Permeable Parking Surface Installed at Lidl

PROJECT
The parking surface in front of the Lidl store in Otwock, originally made with lawn grids from a competing supplier, was damaged after less than two years of use. The grid walls broke due to poor product selection and low material quality. The surface had to be replaced to restore full functionality and durability—especially in the high-traffic central parking area.

SOLUTION
The investor decided to replace the damaged surface with a more robust system. In the central parking zones, geoSYSTEM S5 max ground grids were installed. Their reinforced design provides excellent durability under heavy vehicle loads and frequent tire movement. The grids were filled with stone aggregate to create a stable, long-lasting parking surface.

RESULT
With geoSYSTEM S5 max, the new parking surface is durable, load-resistant, and 100% water-permeable, allowing rainwater to naturally soak into the ground. This eco-friendly solution supports water retention, reduces heat buildup compared to concrete, and aligns with the principles of sustainable construction.
